Mother’s Day Celebration 2021

St Dominic Association hosted Mother's day program on the 8th of September 2021 the day of the feast of Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary, at 6.30 pm, at St. Dominic Church Silver Jubilee hall. The programme was inaugurated by honouring the first mother of this year 2021 Mrs Aureen Jane Barboza of our Parish by cutting the cake. She was joined by rest of the Mothers who were present at the venue. A spot game was conducted immediately and the winner was adjudged the "lucky mother of the evening".

Thereafter, the Dias was graced by our dear parish priest Rev.Fr Daniel Veigas, Vice president Mr Maxim Crasta , The secretary of our Church Mrs Noreen Pinto, and The parish All committee coordinator Mrs.Debbie Locker. Prior to the stage programme a couple of entertaining games were conducted. The ladies enthusiastically participated and won prizes in braiding of flowers and Idli eating competitions.

Mrs Anusha Fernandes gave a wonderful tribute and spoke about women and their sacrifices and also the love and affection they share in family and social life. At this time the children gathered here offered a rose to their mothers and honoured them. Our Parish Priest also gave a short message about the importance of the day. A few spot games were conducted later. The winners of all the games were awarded.

The entire programme was compered by Mr Walvin Castelino, the president of St Dominic Association. The secretary Mrs Reshma D'Souza offered gratitude and thanks and the programme was concluded by singing a hymn praising God.
