Free Medical Health Camp

A free Medical health camp was organized by the Catholic Sabha Ashok Nagar unit in collaboration with Fr. Mullers Medical College Hospital, Shri Sharada Pooja Samithi & Mangala Friends, Urwastores on 26th January, at ‘Manasa Mantapa’ of Urwa Stores.

Fr. Aquin Noronha O.P. the Parish Priest of St. Dominic Church Ashok Nagar, blessed the occasion. Fr. Sylvester Vincent Lobo, administrator of Fr. Mullers Hospital Thumbay, Dr. Norman Mendonca , H.O.D. Ophthalmology, Fr. Mullers’ Medical college Kankanady, Sri Satish Prabhu B.J.P. spokes person of D.K., Sri Maxim Crasta Vice President and Secretary Mrs. Noreen Pinto of St. Dominic Church Parish Council and the presidents of the three organizations were on the dais.

The Doctors of all the faculties from Fr. Mullers’ co-operated whole heartedly for the success of the camp. The number of patients registered was 294, 208 spectacles were distributed free of cost, 26 cataract eye cases were detected and on the spot 26 Fr. Mullers’ health cards were registered. The general health check up also was a part of the camp.

A short dais programme was held. The Catholic Sabha President Mr. Ronald Colaco welcomed, Mrs. Benedicta D’souza proposed vote of thanks and Mr. Winson D’ Souza compered the programme. Most of the Catholic Sabha members were present and co-operated throughout the camp.
