St. Antony Ward – Kalvai ‘A’ Celebrated their Ward Day on 16-06-2019

The thanks giving Holy Mass was offered on Sunday, 16th June at 8.00 am and the cultural program was organised at the Church Mini Hall on the same day at 6.30 pm. Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha Parish Priest was the Chief Guest and Rev. Fr. Royston Lobo, Sr. Jyothi, Superior of St. Joseph’s Convent, Vice President and Secretary of the Parish were the other dignitaries on the Dais.

The program was started with a prayer dance by Ms. Liza Cutinho and thereafter Mrs. Felcy Pinto Gurkar, welcomed the chief guest and other guests by offering roses. On this occasion, our patron St. Antony’s life history and the 13 very important miracles performed by him were briefed by Mrs. Stella Ferrao and Mrs. Leena Cutinho.

T During stage program our tiny torts performed a group dance. A solo dance, music, hymns and songs were sung by other children. Also, a couple dances were performed by Mr. Prakash and Wilma. Alisha, d/o Kishore and Reshma D’souza celebrated her 11th Birthday by cutting the cake accompanied by an elderly lady Mrs. Irene Cutinho.

The talented students of the ward were awarded for their excellent academic achievements. Also a most deserving person of the ward was rendered financial assistance. Thereafter, Mrs. Reshma D’Souza conducted some games and winners were awarded prizes which were sponsored by her.

The Chief Guest, Fr. Aquin Nornha in his address expressed happiness over the response and participation and explained the object of such ward gathering. He congratulated the Gurkar, Mrs. Felcy Pinto for her active leadership and constant support to the church activities.

Mrs. Felcy Pinto thanked all the ward families for their co-operation all through her tenure of 2 terms. Ms. Reshma D’Souza was the master of ceremonies. The program was followed by dinner.
