Various Government Facilities for Citizens

St. Dominic Church Catholic Sabha Ashoknagar Unit, Commission for Social Development, Commission for Lay Apostolate, and Commission for Labourers in collaboration with Community Empowerment Trust Milagres and Mangaluru Digital Seva Kendra, organized a camp on availing the government facilities for citizens at St. Dominic Church Silver Jubilee Hall on Saturday, 26 March 2022 from 9 am to 5.30 pm and on Sunday 27 March 2022 from 9 am 1 pm.

A short stage programme was arranged on this occasion. Rev.Fr. Daniel Veigas, Parish Priest of St. Dominic Ashoknagar, Mrs. Lizzy Pinto, the trustee of Community Empowerment Trust, Mr. Arun D’Souza, Director of Mangaluru Digital Seva Kendra, Mrs. Noreen Pinto, Coordinator of Commission for Social Development, Mrs. Precilla Fernandes, Coordinator of Commission for Lay Apostalate, Mr. Norgy Dsilva, Coordinator of Commission for Labour and Mr. Winson Dsouza, President of Catholic Sabha Ashoknagar Unit were the dignitaries present on the dias.

The Programme began invoking the blessings of the Almighty through a prayer song.

Mr. Winson Dsouza welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Daniel Veigas with the other dignitaries inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp and gave a valuable message emphasing the importance of Personal Identification Number. Mr. Arun Dsouza highlighted the importance of various government facilities and their importance. Mrs. Precilla Fernandes proposed the Vote of Thanks. Ms. Meera Mendonca, secretary of Catholic Sabha Ashoknagar unit compered the programme.

The following government facilities were available in the camp:

1. Ration Card (Registration and Correction)

2. Voter Id (Registration and Correction)

3. E- Shram Card

4. Passport (New and Renewal)

5. PAN Card (New & Correction)

6. Senior Citizen Card (Registration & Correction)

About 150 people benefitted from this programme.
