Women’s day

Women’s day was celebrated meaningfully by Ladies Social Service League, St Dominic Parish Ashoknagar on Sunday 8th March 2020.

Fr Aquin Noronha the parish priest as well as the director celebrated the mass at 4:00 pm. After mass all gathered at the church hall for a brief get together. A small stage program was held. Fr. Aquin Noronha presided over the program. Mr.Maxim Crasta the vice president of the parish council was present. The program began with a small prayer song sung by the members. The resource person Dr Lavina Noronha, the Director of Ave Maria Palliative Care Centre, Vamanjoor was welcomed and introduced. She gave a talk on palliative care and on how they help terminally ill patients die a dignified death. She also stressed on how we can contribute towards making their life tolerable by our words and deeds. She also gave a informative talk on respect to human life and prevention of suicides. Programme ended with refreshments and spot games. The program was compered by Mrs. Euginia Pinto.
