Parish Council Members Picnic 2019

A Picnic for the Parish Council Members with their families was organized on 3rd November 2019 to ‘RELAX LEISURE PARK’at Galadakatte, Brahmavara near ‘Sita River Bank.’ There were altogether 66 in number. All the members got into the bus by 8.00 A.M. Fr.Aquin Noronha led the prayer and invoked ‘God’s Blessings’ on members. Sharp at 8.00A.M. the journey towards Galadakatte started. All the members joined in singing ‘Mariye Krista Maye’to begin with. Then onwards the group members were boosted to sing ‘Anthakshari’ songs in Konkani, Kannada, Hindi and English till Galadakatte at Brahmavara.

As soon as the members got down from the bus had the ready breakfast served by the management of the leisure park. Without wasting much time all got into the boat which was waiting for to sail to the opposite side of the river, where all the requirements for the ‘Group Games’ were available. Mr. Satish D’Souza and Mrs. Stella D’Souza were in charge of conducting variety of group games through which the participants were alert throughout. Till 12.00 noon all had group games. There was a little break off when some played Volley ball, Throw ball and basket ball and so on.

After the meal the members got into the river waters and played water games till 5.00P.M. All the members enjoyed to the brim. At 5.00 P.M. The ‘Music Rain Fountain’was played where most of the members danced to the tune of the music under rain fountain. At 5.45 PM. all assembled together for the prize distribution for the winners, as well as to express the gratitude to the management of the park for the delicious food provided and the service rendered by them. Fr.Aquin Noronha the Parish Priest was thanked for making such beautiful arrangements. Finally those who have contributed snacks, eatables and special items too were thanked by the Vice President Mr. Richard Gonsalves.

At 6.00P.M, the members returned to Galadakatte by boating, had tea and got into the bus. With singing and screaming all reached back to our destination making the day ‘A Memorable One.’
