47th Annual Feast Celebration

The above society celebrated their 47th Annual Feast on 28th September 2019 at St. Dominic Church, Ashoknagar. The celebration started with a grand mass at 5 pm at the church by our Spiritual Director Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha. When we help the poor and downtrodden we see God in them was his message for the society. All the members renewed their vows and prayed to strengthen them to carry out their mission honestly. Offerings were given and also the liturgy was conducted by the members. Annual reports were distributed to the gathering. The president Mrs. Ida H. Pereira thanked the Spiritual Director all the priests, nuns, donors and help givers for their generous help to the SVP society.

After the mass there was a small get together in the Main Hall to the invitees which started at 6 .15 pm. Our Spiritual Director , Asst. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Royston Lobo, Chief guest Mr. Valerian Pinto, Church vice president Mr. Richerd Gonsalves , Secretary Mr. Isac Furtado were at the Dais. The president welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest in his speech said SVP is the best organization for which even I wanted to serve but I couldn't so far. Asst. Parish Priest gave his message saying the Society is working for the poor silently and efficiently. The vice President and Secretary also appreciated the hard work of the society. The Annual report was read by the secretary of the society Mrs. Ethel Menezes.

Few games were conducted and prizes were distributed to the winners. The Vice president of the society Mr. Herbert D'Souza thanked everybody for making the program a success. Our Spiritual Director blessed and offered prayers before meal. The ceremony was conducted by Mrs. Apoline Menezes. Delicious meal was prepared and served by Prince Caterers (Mr. Herbert Benny D'Souza, Ashoknagar). As a preparation for the feast SVP members conducted a holy hour on 27th September at 6 pm during which they thanked God for his kind help through the donors and well-wishers.
