The Parish Catechism children’s meet at Rosario Cathedra

The Catechism children of Ashoknagar Parish from class 4th to 7th STD gathered in the church compound at 8.30 am on 4th November 2018. The children enrolled their names with the teachers. Before the journey a prayer was made by the teacher on children to bestow God’s blessings. At about 8.45 am the children along with teachers left for Rosario Cathedral for the gathering. After the breakfast there was an inaugural ceremony held where one child from each parish came forward to burst the balloon. 450 children from 11 parishes participated in the gathering animated by 33 teachers. There was an inspiring talk on ‘my family my happiness’ delivered by one of the priests. The day was filled with trill, action songs, games, entertainment etc. The Eucharist was celebrated at 12 pm in the Church followed by lunch. The afternoon session was started at 2 p.m with action songs and some activities. At the end two children shared their day’s experience. One of them was Aston Fernandes from Ashoknagar Parish who also proposed vote of thanks. To add joy to the gathering Ice cream was served for everyone. On the whole children had a great fun and day was spent well. The children returned back to the church around 5 pm. It was a memorable day. Four catechism teachers from our parish accompanied the children and animated them such are Sr. Anitha, teacher Joan, teacher Laveena and teacher Icci.
